Vision and Values
Bulford St. Leonard's Church of England Primary School is a school where futures are created.
Embracing the school’s military and village communities, our strength is in developing positive, confident and resilient citizens who take responsibility and show initiative.
We focus our curriculum on active learning and real-life first-hand experiences. We deliver the curriculum so that students understand its relevance to life. Whatever our pupils aspire to be in the future, Bulford models community spirit and inclusion. We insist on high standards of behaviour and respectful relationships, so that everyone feels safe enough to have a go and take risks in their learning, or their teaching. Team Bulford is a place where we are proud to welcome visitors and where new children settle quickly.
We focus on preparing children, not just for the next stage of their education, but for the next stage of life. Proud to be educators, we understand that we are privileged to be working with the next generation; people who will impact on communities, make crucial decisions, create new technologies, design or create buildings, discover solar systems, save animals from extinction and maybe save hundreds of lives. The possibilities are limitless. For this reason, our curriculum is knowledge rich, broad and balances and seeks to ignite the passions and talents that exist within our young people and staff. Our staff team will always include subject specialists such as Spanish, Art, Music or Sports teachers,
We are outward facing in that we seek out the best educational practice both locally and nationally, applying current educational research, so that learning is both highly effective and irresistible, for every one of our pupils. We are a safe, happy, purposeful school, where we celebrate success, learn from mistakes and encourage the very best effort from each other.
We engage in positive communication, discussing different viewpoints and opinions and we all take time to actively listen. Problem solving and reflection are themes that are core to our curriculum. Trust, Wisdom, Forgiveness and Service are the cornerstones of our Christian values and are evidenced in the decisions we make and actions we take.
We work closely with all our Acorn Education Trust family of schools to enrich the primary curriculum and to create opportunities for an educationally seamless journey from 3 to 18 years of age.

- Our school community chose our most important values as Trust, Wisdom, Forgiveness and Service and we seek to put these into action in our everyday behaviours and decisions.
- We will provide a challenging, yet nurturing, environment based on our Christian values, where all achievements are celebrated and children are encouraged to strive for their personal best.
